Experience

Amanda joined the Law Firm in 2020 and is part of the Civil Litigation, Constitutional Litigation and Commercial Litigation team. She has experience in investigation and strategic criminal and constitutional litigation.

Amanda served as a Junior Lawyer, in a law firm where she was counsellor on civil, commercial, and notarial matters, additionally.

She worked at the Instituto Guatemalteco de Seguridad Social (Guatemalan Social Security Institute IGSS), as an advisor to the Deputy Manager for Integrity and Administrative Transparency, acting as judicial agent in charge of high-impact corruption cases. Subsequently, she worked at the International Commission Against Impunity in Guatemala, where she served as a legal officer, being a judicial agent of said international organization, having to the carry out first statement hearings, intermediate stages, oral and public debate, review of coercion measures, public hearings for constitutional rights protection, as well as the preparation of all kinds of official writs in criminal and constitutional matters.

In 2020 she worked as an advisor on labor matters for the Empresa Portuaria Quetzal (Quetzal Port Company), in charge of carry out hearings in ordinary labor processes, reinstatement incidents, among others, in charge of developing and applying plans and strategies for conflict resolution in the assigned labor processes.

Amanda was a lecturer on various topics, including anti-corruption and transparency, human rights, and access to justice at the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City and Puebla.
