On April 26, 2022, the National Migratory Authority published the following agreements in the Official Gazette, Diario de Centroamerica:

  1. AMN 003-2022 Fees for Migratory Services
  2. AMN 004-2022 Amendments to the Ordinary Inmigration Status Regulation
  3. AMN 005-2022 Issuance of Migratory Certifications Regulation

The National Migratory Authority Agreement No. 003-2022 provides the following fees for Guatemalan passports and travel identity documents:

Additionally, this agreement establishes the fees related to Guatemalan visas and residency. The Agreement will enter into force 8 days after its publication.

Criminal Law Reforms for the Protection of Children and Adolescents

El 14 de abril de 2026, el Congreso de la República de Guatemala, aprobó el decreto 10-2026 y emitió la Ley para Prevenir el Abuso Sexual Infantil. Esto surge en cumplimiento con las obligaciones del Estado respecto a la protección del interés superior del niño (artículos 4 y 5 de la Ley de Protección Integral de la Niñez y Adolescencia) y busca proteger a los menores de edad frente a relaciones desiguales de poder y cualquier tipo de violencia que atente contra su integridad y pueda afectar el desarrollo sexual y psicológico del menor.
