And in Guatemala\u2019s case, the results are discouraging.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Guatemala is the third worst-rated country on the continent with a score of 3.46 out of 10, only above Venezuela (2.56) and Nicaragua (1.28). In the Legislation section, the country is rated 5.42. But in relation to Authorities and Implementation, the score drops to 2.56 and 2.58 respectively. The main concerns are the Independence of the Public Prosecutor's Office (2.00), the Coordination between Authorities (1.67) and the Effectiveness of Whistleblower Protections (1.44).<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In addition to a regional analysis, the report includes a specific analysis for each country, covering issues such as corruption in the public sector, corruption in the private sector, reporting and protection of whistleblowers, specialized authorities, institutional coordination mechanisms, civil society participation and transparency and access to information.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We invite you to read this interesting report, in which we had the honor of participating.
