Alfaro joined the firm in 2007.
He is a member of the Intellectual Property practice group. His practice specially focuses on the consulting, management, maintenance and protection of patents, trademarks, trade names, slogans and other distinctive signs in Guatemala, and on ensuring the effective enforcement of intellectual property rights.
His experience is based on helping clients to recognize, protect and leverage the value of their intellectual assets by developing a unique course of action for each case.

He has participated in workshops such as: "The Implementation of the Trademark Law Treaty (TLT) and the Amendments to the Industrial Property Law" (Guatemalan Chamber of Intellectual Property - 2016); “Case Law and International Treaties on Intellectual Property” (IURISTEC - 2016); and “Trademark Law in National Case Law” (IURISTEC - 2015).
In addition, he has a Master’s Degree in Policy and Communication granted by Panamericana University. Currently pursues postgraduate studies in Intellectual Property endorsed by the University of San Carlos de Guatemala, the Commercial Law Institute and the Guatemalan Bar Association.
